A clinical evaluation, not a shortcut

Every client receives a trusted psychological evaluation.

The AAMC asks for more than a diagnosis. Documentation must connect current functional limitations to the specific demands of the MCAT. Our evaluations are built to make that connection clear.

01

A live clinical interview

Meet face-to-face by secure video with a licensed clinician who reviews your history, prior accommodations and current concerns.

02

Testing selected for you

Your assessment is tailored to the attentional, learning, cognitive or emotional factors affecting your performance.

03

A psychologist-authored report

Your individualized report integrates history, objective findings, functional impact and clinically supported recommendations.

04

Submission guidance

We help you understand the documentation package and remain available for reasonable clarification if the AAMC requests more information.

Individualized recommendations

Common MCAT accommodations may include

Recommendations are made only when clinically supported by your history, functional limitations and current objective data.

Designed around the review

A report that explains why, not merely what.

A list of requested accommodations is not enough. The strongest documentation explains how a condition affects real test-taking tasks and why each recommendation addresses that limitation.

01

A live clinical interview

Meet face-to-face by secure video with a licensed clinician who reviews your history, prior accommodations and current concerns.

02

Current objective assessment

Standardized measures evaluate the areas of functioning relevant to the concerns you describe.

03

Functional impact

Findings are translated into the specific ways your condition affects access, processing, focus, stamina or symptom management.

04

Accommodation rationale

Each clinically supported recommendation is tied directly to the limitation it is intended to address.

Timing matters

Do not let the review cycle choose your test date.

Initial MCAT accommodations applications are generally reviewed within 60 days. Incomplete applications can restart the review cycle, and the AAMC does not expedite applications.

Depending on the evaluation selected and the requirements of each institution, your report may also provide useful documentation for medical-school disability services and future professional examinations.

Questions, answered plainly

Before you schedule

Clear expectations are part of a good evaluation.

Is this a real psychological evaluation or just an accommodations letter?
What happens if the AAMC does not approve everything I request?
How early should I begin?
Can the evaluation be completed virtually?
Do you accept insurance or offer payment plans?

Dr. Gibbs’ clinic helped me get MCAT accommodations after I had been denied two times. I am now thriving in medical school and could not have done it without help from Dr. Gibbs and his staff.
